LITERACY: Ee is for EARTH!

Does your child like color by code activities? Keep it simple with this Ee is for Earth activity and have fun chatting all about our planet!
Use a pencil to draw Earth on a sheet of paper (or find and print one from online). Label all the land parts with a capital letter E and all the water parts with a lowercase letter e. Create a code at the top of the page that says “Capital E Green and Lowercase e blue”. Give your child markers, crayons, or paint to color by code.
MATH: NUMBER ROCKETS – BLAST OFF!

Let’s move our bodies and practice counting with this simple space activity.
Draw a simple rocket on 10 small rectangle sheets of paper. Label each rocket with a number. Write the same numbers on sticky notes and stick them on a wall. Have your child pick a loose square rocket, identify the number, count to that number, then āblast offā to run and match it to the same number on the wall (have rolled pieces of tape nearby for sticking).
CRAFT: TOILET PAPER TELESCOPE

Do you have a collection of toilet paper rolls at home or is that just me?! If you don’t plan to save a few from the week so you can make this fun telescope! This craft is easy and is perfect for adding to your list of space activities!
Collect toilet paper or paper towel rolls. Set out paint, star stickers, and dot stickers. Invite your child to paint their toilet paper roll then decorate with stickers. Head outside at dusk to take a look at the stars!
STEM: CRATER PRINTS

Interested in starting a conversation with your little all about impact craters on the moon? This simple idea combines sensory play, gross motor skills, and encourages your little to question and learn about what craters are and how they are formed.
Fill a shallow cake pan with moon dough (a combo of 4 cups flour and ½ cup of cooking oil mixed together). Set the pan outside and give your child a small bowl of marbles. Have them stand over the cake pan and drop the marbles into the dough. Lift each marble and see a CRATER!
SENSORY: SPACE PLAY DOUGH TRAY

I always say you can’t go wrong with a themed Play-Doh! This is one of those easy ideas that can be made to work with any theme using its of loose parts from around your home.
For this space themed activity tray you’ll want to include Play-Doh and a mix of loose part supplies for creating. Some ideas for this space themed tray include: star mini erasers, small foil scrunched balls, small colorful bouncy balls or marbles, cut pipe cleaner pieces, space toys, stars, and circle cookie cutters, etc.
