LITERACY: SPOOKY I SPY LETTERS

Working on identifying letters? This fun “I Spy” activity with a spooky twist is an activity your child will LOVE!
Draw a large ghost shape on a sheet of white paper and label it with letters. Fill a shallow dish with dyed black water (dark juice works too). Set the dish on top of the ghost paper and place a clear glass in the dish. Have your child move the glass across the dish to hunt for letters. When they come to a letter have them identify its name, sirund, and if ready write it on a sheet of paper.
MATH: GHOST EYES

Draw multiple ghost outlines on a large sheet of paper. Label each with a number or math fact. Have your child identify the number and add that many googly eyes to each ghost.

Who doesn’t love dressing up for Halloween? This fun pumpkin costume twist is great for working on fine motor and scissor skills!
Cut a simple pumpkin shape out of orange construction paper. Give your child scissors and a roll of masking tape. Have them cut and add tape pieces to their pumpkin. Keep taping until their pumpkin is covered like a mummy! Add goggly eyes.

Do you like candy corn? Some people love it and others not so much! Either way, this simple craft is FUN!
