SIMPLE MEMORY BOOK YOU CAN START NOW!

I don’t know about you but I am one of those mamas who saves all the little crafts, art activities, self-portraits, and takes lots of pictures of my littles learning and playing! I’ve got a large box and am not quite sure what to do with it all. Does that sound like you too?

Well, this year I want to do something different!

This year I am making SIMPLE craft memory books for my girls.

FREE directions and labels at the bottom of this post. šŸ™‚

I learned all about kindergarten memory books from the queen of memory book making, my mama! She literally made these beautiful keepsakes for her entire class of 25-30 kindergarten students each year! She is AMAZING! She taught me and I did it when I was in the classroom too, but YOU can do it for your littles at home too!

Seriously, these memory books make the BEST keepsakes and today I’m going to show you how to do it the SIMPLE way.

It doesn’t matter if your children are distance learning this year, hybrid, or homeschooling – you can do this and I promise you it is easy and at the end of the school year you will be so happy you did!

What you’ll need:

12X18 Construction Paper (large sheets)

Glue (Elmer’s School Glue or No Wrinkle Elmer’s Rubber Cement)

-A collection of crafts, pictures, writing, etc. from each month!

-Scissors

What to do:

Each month as your child is doing projects and activities set aside your favorites. I love to set aside things like handprint crafts, fun pictures I’ve taken of them, writing samples, self-portraits, small name crafts, etc.

At the end of the month grab one of your 12X18 sheets of paper and add the month label to the corner.

Then, find your collection of things you’ve saved and pick a few to glue down onto the page. Collage them as you’d like and make sure they are well glued.

That’s it! Stack and store all the pages together add a cute cover then bind them or hole punch and tie together with ribbon!

Here is the cover I created:

YOU WILL BE SO HAPPY when you see an adorable craft memory book and your kiddos will too!

My rule KEEP IT SIMPLE! Remember, no need to create separate projects and activities! Just collect from projects and activities you or your child’s teacher already has them doing.
