LITERACY: SNOWBALL LETTER MATCH

Write letters on small squares of paper and scrunch each one into a ball. Write the same letters on a large sheet of paper in yellow highlighter. Toss the snowballs on the table. Have your child pick a snowball, open it and identify the letter then find it on the recording sheet and trace.
This is a great way to work on letter recognition, sounds, and letter formation! When your child is done tracing all the letters talk about it’s like in snowy weather? How does it feel? What season does it typically snow in?
MATH: KITE MATH

Draw diamond kites on a large sheet of paper and label each with a number. Add a line kite tail to each. Give your child markers and have them draw horizontal lines (bows) on each kite tail to match the written number.
FINE MOTOR: RAINBOW POM-POM SORT

Does your child love rainbows? Have fun chatting about the colors in a rainbow with this simple fine motor weather idea!
Fill a small bin with rainbow pom-poms. Set out a 6 pan muffin tin and add a colored cut piece of paper to each. Give your child tweezers and have them transfer and sort the pom-poms to each correct color muffin hole.
