Alright, people, it’s New Year’s Eve week and I’m here to share a few ideas that are perfect for pulling out this week with your littles at home! I have been feeling the pull to get back into some routine and for us, that starts with some easy prep, hands-on activities.

Kids New Year Dot Pages
First up, New Year dot pages! These are print and go and great for some downtime. Pair them with dot stickers or some do-a-dot art markers and let your kiddos go to town dabbing away.

Fluffy Glitter Party Slime
A few months back we made fluffy slime for the very first time and my girls loved it! Riley has been begging to make it again so we decided to add in some gold glitter for a NYE twist and they have been playing with it for the last few days. *Note this one is a bit messy!
MATERIALS

–Elmer’s White School Glue
–Shaving Cream
–Baking Soda
–Saline Solution
–Gold Glitter
HOW TO
-Add 3 cups of shaving cream to a large mixing bowl.
-Measure and add in a 1/2 cup of Elmer’s glue. Stir.
-Mix in 1 TSP of baking soda-Mix in 1/3 Cup of Gold Glitter.
-Now add in 1 TBLS of saline solution. Stir with a spoon until it is well mixed and starts to pull away from the bowl edges. Then add a little solution to your hands and mix with your hands. If too sticky, add a little more saline solution.
*If you want it more stringy consider adding a tablespoon of water at a time.-PLAY! Pull, create, and squish that slime!

SPARKLING APPLE CIDER FLOATS
Ready for a fun treat? This apple cider ice cream float is a total hit with kids and just helps make your own little NYE bash more fun!
INGREDIENTS
-Sparkling Apple Cider
-Vanilla Ice Cream
-Whip Cream
-Cinnamon
LET”S MAKE IT!
Grab your favorite holiday cups and add a scoop (or two) of ice cream to them. Pour sparkling cider over the ice cream and top off with a few squirts of whip cream and a dash of cinnamon. Enjoy!

New Year Sticky Collage
This one is FUN and super simple to set up. Sketch out bubble numbers for 2023 on a long sheet of paper. Tape it up to the wall. Cover with contact paper (STICKY SIDE OUT) and pair with tissue paper and pom-poms. Invite your littles to collage the year by sticking on scrunched tissue paper and pom-poms.

ABC Party Hat Letter Match
Looking for a fun and simple idea to review letters NYE week? Try out this party hat sticker match activity. Sketch some simple triangles on a large sheet of paper and label each with an uppercase letter. Then write lowercase letters on colored dot stickers. Ask your child to match each lowercase letter to the uppercase letter by sticking the dot sticker on top of the matching triangle to make a party hat! Easy and fun!
