Election Day Activities

My girls are super curious about the presidential election this year! They’ve heard lots of talk about voting and are asking great questions. To keep the conversation going, I’ve gathered some fun election day themed activity ideas!

Kids are curious and learning all about the world around them. One of my favorite ways to start conversations about different topics is with BOOKS!

Check out this election day list of themed books for young learners!

How about a fun patriotic sensory bin!

This red, white, and blue themed bin is perfect for election day and simple to make! Just fill a bin with white rice and add any red, white, and blue loose parts you have. Some loose part examples are pom-poms, jewels, stars, popsicle sticks, etc. Then pair with a few cups and scoops for play!

Ready to set up your own ballot box?

I love this idea from Things to Share and Remember . For preschoolers the best way to learn is to dive in and this fun ballot box activity is simple to set up and sure to be a hit! I have our box prepped and ready! Can’t wait to see what we are voting on and to teach my girls more about the voting process!

Need some FREE kid voting ballots to go with that box?

Check out these FREE voting ballots from Studio DIY! Just print and set next to your ballot box for your littles to fill out. Aren’t the CUTE?!

How about a little reader?!

This mini reader all about the voting process is great for littles! Grab it from Dschwinn Design TPT here.

And you can’t forget an Election Day Craft!

I’m loving this red, white, and blue future voter pin idea from Kids Activities Blog HERE! How cute is it with the streamers!

Will you be celebrating and chatting about election day with your kids? Let me know what you have planned!
